At the twilight's last gleaming: a vicious act of terrorism
Comment:
For the hell of it, and very much a quickie, to boot. Title from the pen of Francis Scott Key (via the Mael brothers); subtitle by the GZA.Feedback:
wicked, esp that sparks, nina and that fantastic slayer cover
hell yeah
Very nice indeed. Happy memorial day if you have somebody in the armed forces.
Very cool, Rob. Agreed with p on that Slayer track (Less Than Zero=a great soundtrack). The Roots through Maria McKee stretch looks particularly awesome to me.
Remember being addicted to Wild is the Wind for months...
Plays okay in my head, especially that closing pair. Already gave you my approval of the MoB, Deee-lite, Nina Simone & the latest from the Lips. What will you do after that Boris disc gets dries up?
yep to loads of this, but I cannot imagine that transition from Nina to Slayer . . . (The Roots are a current fave of mine).
Great Stuff, Rob.
Sparks to Slayer via Nina Simone? dig it, looks like a terrific variety pack.
i dunno all of this, but it looks fun! slayer following nina simone is probably the best twist...
Bring da mudderfuggin' ruckus. Received one of your other MG mixes a couple of days ago and it's on regular rotation Chez Cogan. This looks killer too.
like the opening 1-2 punch and the closer. other cool stuff, too. essex green is in town next month - wyep festival, i believe.
Quickie hellofits have their special places. I need to get back to that mindset.
Lots of fun!
This looks damn fine Rob. Great opening trio and 12 is an all time fave.
Pretty rad mix.
REeally dig the opner and closer. And the stuff in the middle ain't so bad either. The Spark-Nina-Slayer run is one of the strangest threesomes I've seen in a while.
"For the hell of it" - indeed. You have chosen wisely. Superb end sequence. Thoroughly good stuff.
Maria McKee and the Wu? Nuttin ta fuk wit!
Oh baby! Now that's what I call eclectic. This looks super. I want to visit the hell in your just for the hell of it.
I say yes specifically to: Nina Simone -> Slayer.
