Improbably young and outlandishly good, the Coral stormed out of the Wirral (Hoylake, actually, a place they dub "the anti-Blackpool") in 2001. The names of all the great North Western bands, from the Beatles to the La's, have been mentioned in comparison, and the variety of influences at work here is truly phenomenal.
