Comment:

All my mixes are made up from John Peel and OneMusic shows. The beauty of these programmes is that they enable me to hear music from all genres and pull off tracks that I like. It is impossible to say you don't like one particular genre of music because Peel and his successors could always find something to put your way that would turn you on, even if only briefly, to hardcore death metal or 128 bpm techno. Not to mention all the usual staples. A refreshing blast against the worst excesses of the mainstream.

John Peel is a legend. Great mix, these are actually some of the bands that you don't hear much about, usually Peel is synonymous with Joy Division, The Smiths, Siouxsie, The Cure, etc.

Youve done an absolutely wonderful job here! It makes me miss him even more. Mr Peel was a one off, his playing (without a sniff of irony) of cheesy happy hardcore and gabba next to bands like Bomb Disneyland and Throbbing Gristle always made me smile, as has this mix. Bravo.
