Comment:

I've been meaning to make a Morricone mix for ages, but having just under a 1000 tracks to choose from (not counting the 50 plus re-mixes, Morricone's chamber music and non movie tracks) I didn't know how to start. So, I decided to make a thematic mix. All tracks are composed by Ennio Morricone but were not necessarily orchestrated or conducted by him for the soundtracks.
(* tracks from Morricone compilations, all others from the complete soundtracks. No track has been downloaded.) Enjoy

But here's a Morricone mix you can actually listen to. ; ) You beat us on bulk, that's for sure. Impressive.

This does indeed look impressive, although I admit my ignorance re: the depth of Morricone's catalog.

Ooohh the scent of rivalry is in the air! Well - I rate both.By the way, where do you store all this music - in a vault?

to be fair to the New Leif, it was his earler mix that persuaded me to try my hand at an all Morricone mix...my last Morricone was a Morricone inspired mix...some of my Morricone sndtrcks are now very rare so perhaps a vault might no be so stupid;)

Yet another expertly crafted mix from the encyclopaedic Dom1. I am perturbed by the mention - albeit inferred and possibly misconstrued by me - of "rare" and "vault" - I did note the smiley at the end of the comment. I understand the joy of the collector, and the pleasure of owning a "rare" thing. Surely the true joy is in sharing this rarity with those who may appreciate it. I always enjoy the listing and explanatory notes. I would dearly love to hear so many of your mixes, Dom. If you are unable to make them available for download, there is always the trading option. Of course, if the mixer that proposes the trade has nothing to offer, well I understand any reluctance. I fear I am one such. I also fear that my command of English is failing and winding, circuitously, towards its own conclusion. I'll stop now, if only for the sake of humanity.

Nice choice of theme, as it adds a little variety to the genius.

Top Marks just for attempting this. Wonderful. I think I might have to re-create via iTunes.

Nicely done. After I bought my fifth or sixth Morricone soundtrack in college (and loved them all) I had a plan to buy every single soundtrack he's done, but a trip to the library to look up his discography quickly squashed that dream.

Very impressive collection you have there, Mr.Dom!
If you ever wanted to make the Mp3 tracks available, I'd love the honour of mixing 'em down. [I wanted to post this comment before this mix was knocked off the boards by another WinAMP list!] 5 stars!!!
