Comment:

Inspired by Mixxers fine mix
'Hot Stuff Under The Covers'
and with a little nod to the Allstars equally fine 'Classical Gas'.
. This is my take on the `Original Versions' & `Tracks that Inspired Popular Classics' theme.
Thank you to Ed for supplying tracks 6 & 14.
And yes, before anyone says, my back room could do with some new wallpaper. Enjoy! # Original Version * A Heavy Influence on...

OMG! Gotta hear that Randy and the Rainbows track as soon as I can figure out this link thingy! In fact, there are a bunch here I need to look listen into.

Great work, Sam.
On the wallpaper issue, looks like yes, you do have room for another rack of CDs.

Love this! And thanks for the link - also like the "personal touch" with the pic there :) Love that Chiffons pick, and the Chopin and Sonny Boy Williamson. Will definitely be checking this out.

Enjoyed hearing this; especially liked the closer. I happened to use track 7 on the first mix I posted to AOTM and used the cover or inspired version (mentioned in parenthesis) for seven later mixes of mine (2, 4, 12, 17, 18, 19 & 23). I would suggest another CD with these later versions instead of the originals, but then we would get a double dose of Barry Manilow (so never mind).

Always like seeing these kind of mixes. And yes, your room could use a little wallpaper, or Kiss posters. One original version I'd still like to hear is Paul Pena's "Jet Airliner," later covered by the Steve Miller Band of course.
