A tape for last weekend's road trip with my better half. I had to choose songs to keep us both happy, with a couple tunes thrown in just to make him say "huh?!?!?" Him: former drummer in a heavy metal band, big ole punk/indie rocker with a distaste for anything overly commercial... Me: closet hippie with a love for indie rock, singable punk and eighties new wave (not seen on this mix.) The result: a simple, happy mix of stuff to keep us both smiling for the entire trip (including a few songs you'd hear on the radio - so sue me.) Nothing clever, nothing obscure, no rhyme or reason. This tape just celebrates the first nice weather we've had after a long, long winter. Hey, it's spring, and no one sings spring like Dean Martin. Let's just say it was a fun trip.
