This is a collection of deceptively happy or peppy songs, from a variety of genres, which are musically uptempo and fun yet have relatively disconcerting lyrics. The sense of optimism is not all that convincing in some tracks ;)Feedback:

i really love this mix. i have always loved songs that sound happy with a sour message. the first six songs are prefection and i love the lou reed pick.
This is very cool. I never would've expected a mix that had Sting and Rod Stewart as well as The Birthday Party and Joy Division.
There's a lot to love here, not least of which are the Echo, Teardrop, B-day Party, Iggy, X-Ray, Killing Joke, Lou Reed and Rod Stewart picks...
