Comment:

Isn't the AOTM community a nice place to be in this summer? Everyone is teaming up with other folk for Alternating DJ mixes. People dedicating their mixes to other mixers and the like. Well, this mix is for everyone : ) However, it is heavily influenced by French Connection's Life Is A Cosmic Giggle On The Breathe Of The Universe
. Should you ever get the chance to trade with Cliff, be sure to add this to your wishlist. So, my latest is a POP mix. Did you expect anything else?

Beautiful sammyg! That High Llamas (!) into the Tyde is inspired, as is the rest....the French Connection's always under the influence so makes sense the influence wafted 'cross the waters to you...GOOD GO!

I love that Tyde song so much. And the SFA tune is irresistible too. The whole thing looks quite fun. Bravo!

Looks like a rocketing good collection. And, I am refusing all food and drink until you tell me that the Devendra Banhart track is *not* a cover of Danny and the Juniors.

Ed. It is not. It does however advertise Cheese On Toast here in the UK. Not that that's got anything to do with anything...

Thanks, Sam, that is a relief. And since I am back to food and drink, I'm gonna go rustle up some Cheese on Toast.

Wow! Some tremendous pop here -- Pink Frost, Age of the Sun, Let's Fight. India Song -- just to name a few. Heard the 6ths song for the first time a few days ago, and loved that as well. Lovely exploding rockets on the cover too.

Beautiful stuff! Knowing how good your poppy mixes are already I have no doubt that this is of a similar calibre. Love, love, love the Camera Obscura, Sundays, Super Furries, Magic Numbers and Arab Strap tracks. I didn't know that's what the Devendra Banhart track was called...that's a weird advert. But a good track. Anyway, excellent stuff, well done!

There is something frightfully reassuring about a new sammyg "pop" mix. Quality and enjoyment are assured. Yet, despite this warm familiarity, there's always an edge -- a sidestep into excitement. This mix is the very essence of sammyg. I don't know how such consistency is achieved, but long may it continue. One thing's for sure -- this is great -- it's as simple as that. Turn it up.

Los Bros Hernandez would be more proud of this than the band that stole their name.

I haven't heard PYLON in like years. I used to have a cassette. I saw them in Athens, GA in 1984. Got any more?
Great mix!
