This summer has been a hot one. With Joey de Vivre and Nest of Vipers up in a tree, with sammyg123 gazing into the eyes of DJ Karen Adams as she fills his glass with warm, nurturing milk, and now with DJ Karen Adams and Jenergy gettin' it on like a couple of mixers gone wild... well, there's really no other way to say it: A bunch of us at AotM were getting just plain turned on to the idea of collaboration, and last weekend we decided to do something about it. After booking adjoining motel rooms in Colorado Springs, a big group of us met up for some no-strings-attached mixin'. Of course none of us had any idea what the others were bringing to the table, so there were some pretty big surprises... and one particularly small one. Fortunately, with the help of modern technology, we were able to go on mixing for over 27 hours straight! As you can well imagine, we were all pretty exhausted afterwards. Participants included tornadoZ, Mohr, lo-fi jr, tombstoneblues, Valerie_412, Curtis Burns, alma cogan, valis, Sizzle Meat, and a few others I can't even remember (after a while, it's pretty hard to tell who's who with so many hot, pumping grooves getting lumped together). Special thanks to Ron and Dolores, the couple from Chicago that Mohr picked up in the Starlight Lounge. Though they didn't contribute any music per se, they were more than generous with the use of their equipment. Our most sincere and earnest desire is that the fruits of our labors will provide nothing but whole pleasures and many hours of joy for everyone out there who loves music the way we do.

Wow...just...holy shit, WOW. Really incredibly hot stuff by a virtual all-star team of AOTmers. Anything that inludes the Circle Jerks, Funkadelic, fuckin' Sheena Easton! (love that song), ODB and Patti Page is a winner in my book. Not to mention that fuckin' amazing "Fuck Me Forever" track and...well, you get the picture. Crazy good.
