Comment:

For my first alt-DJ venture in four and a half years (I've got at least two more in the works), I teamed up with the estimable sammyg123, a recent veteran of several alt-DJ mixes who happens to be pretty well-aligned with me musically. Sam sent me his picks (he's odds, I'm evens) and I set to work. Unfortunately, due to my inability to upload songs into shared files, he has yet to hear it... At any rate, it was a ton of fun and I think the mix worked out pretty well. Based upon his reaction to the track list, I think it's fair to say we're both pretty proud of this one. Dedicated to the great Arthur Lee, who passed away late last week; I chose the Love song on this mix not just because I worship the band (and because the song fit well with the flow of the mix), but because its title euphemistically describes how I feel abuot his death. Title by Jeff Beck's old band. P.S. Thanks to lo-fi for hipping me to tracks 4 and 12.

Killer stuff. Lots of variety represented here, as both of you do so well. And once he hears it, I am sure sammyg123 will love it too!

This looks really, really great, guys. Agreed with NoV on the opening track, as it just came up on the iPod this morning while I was out and about. The stretch from 8->20 looks like some pretty solid stuff, as well.

Very nice! Tracks 2 and 11 make me happy, and that 14-17 stretch looks great.

Very nice indeed. I love the opening through 7 especially. And I would adore to here Kingley's take on both ONS & Spanish Flea.

Yeah, this certainly turned out great Rob. great picks from yourself. I had the pleasure of seeing Arthur Lee 3 0r 4 years back when he came to M/C, and that particular track was a highlight of his fantastic set. Look forward to receiving this my friend..

This is a really great collaboration and, like you said, it definitely looks like your music tastes mesh well. I really like the Thermals -> Pale Fountains section, and the Bragg/Wilco and Dusty Springfield. Nice dedication too!

Love the vibe of tracks 1-13, the Dizzee Rascal track is fantastic and transitions perfectly to Me One, and the rest is pretty cool, too.
