Comment:
I've been experiencing horrendous connection problems of late (hopefully now sorted for good)this mix was one of several I concocted as a result of having so much additional spare time on me hands. Track 15 was chosen by Mrs; Frenchy who is driving me bananas with her Tim Hardin obsession of late (still it could be worse cos I love Hardin too & 'H' has a somewhat suspect taste in music)I've got Gobi staying with me at the mo so my liver has collapsed & I've only had 7 hours sleep in the past 60 hours, nice to see he ain't changed. Bon Weekend to un et al.
Feedback:
You'll sleep when your dead. Nice job, diggin the 4-6 and 9-10 runs especially.
Aint nothin' wrong with a bit of Tim. Im head over heels for that Midlake album too. Don't worry Cliff the liver can regenerate easily. Shane MacGowan told me that and he would know...
Ah, I know this one's going to be a good 'un - I've never yet been disappointed by your mellower mixes and love loads of the picks on here. Always good to see Mogwai on a mix; like the Cocteau Twins, Roddy Frame and Ladybug Transistor too. Hope you and gobi are having a good time, although it sounds like that's pretty much a given! ;)
Let's "hear"it for Mrs. Frenchy-and for you too Cliff. Very nice.
I think the new album by The Guillemots are a great one and you pick one of my absolutely fav songs of all time, How Can We Hang On To A Dream
Wow. I'm also currently loving the Midlake album, thanks to Barry. And the Strands choice is simply wonderful. Infact, there's quite a few tracks on this mix that I'm 'Keane' on..
Yep, looks like a good Sunday morning groove.
Lots of great picks here and especially that great Tim Hardin song. Sounds like you've been having some fun there.
Looks very cool, my friend.
There is no safe place to be when gobi's in proximity! Your liver looks like a gerkin..., hell, I'm surprised you could steady your hands long enough to type out the tracklist and make some kind of attempt at lucidity in the comments! (Clearly you're not drinking and ____ing enough!)Looks like lots of great/interesting stuff here FC!
I hope that last song is not your last song! - keep up the good work -
Glad you're back and contributing, bro. This looks to be great.
Life wouldn't be worth living if it weren't for Tim Hardin obsessions. I enjoyed mine quite thoroughly. Love the cover art... and the beautiful Strands song. Well done.
Kick ass, as always. :)
just catching up from a great holiday . . . lovely mix currently in the car . . . thanks
Like the feel of this one with the Mogwai, Iron & Wine, Frou Frou, ect. Sounds like good times were had.
This one rather makes me feel like some Sufi astronomer: I see more stars here than one would've thought possible. ((If I hadn't been so taken to task the last time I resurrected a "posted-some-time-ago" mix for a Mix of the Week I'd boldly choose this one! Flawless genius.))
