California-based Americana band that's been around for over a decade, though I only got into them lately. Shout-out to my friend Dave who helped supply some of their out-of-print discs. At their best, they fall somewhere between Uncle Tupelo and the Allman Brothers; at their worst, maybe the Eagles. Not necessarily something I need to hear all the time (though 1996's Shootout is particularly strong), but cool when the mood is right. Great live band as well.
