Comment:

Music from the first half of 1968. As Usual, I'm supplying a link on the first song title to the mix in mp3 file format (97megs in size and VBR quality of no less than 160kbps). Can anybody guess which song slipped into the mix by accident? Cheers to a new mixer called "The Wonder Years" who has posted three mixes recently devoted to different years. The last one was for 1963 and I appreciate his efforts and look forward to some healthy competition. Maybe we can even do an alternating dj mix one of these days.

Thanks Mixxer; ok, here's the scoop: I number the tracks in order but during the mixxing process I'll remove a track and leave a gap in the numbering or I'll slip a few tracks in with the same number . Well, 1910 Fruitgum Company, was at the end of my list when viewed in Windows Explorer, but when making the playlist with an old copy of Musicmatch, it inserted 1910 after the track that was numbered 19 and I didn't catch it till I'd used Mixmaster to make the mix wave file; converted it to mp3, and uploaded it to usendit. By then I'd resigned myself to leaving it in the mix (too much work to take it out).

Re-listening to this right now. Excellent stuff. Can't believe I didn't comment originally, apologies. Love that opener, 1910 Fruitgum & Intruders picks..
