Comment:
As I started amassing large quantities of 80's vinyl in High School, I wanted to put together my own '80's Best-Of' type compilation. Made c.1997 or 1998.Feedback:
super. I collected 7" singles all through jr high and high school (roughly '81-'88) so many of these are also in my collection. some of my favorites here are "Heartbreaker," "Brand New Lover," "Jesse's Girl" and "White Wedding." welcome to the site, ian1138.
Im with the tornado, I would happily break out my skin tight marble-washed jeans and throw some shapes to this, though the battle between the aforementioned skin tight garment and my beer belly would limit those moves somewhat, but if you had seen me in my hey-day... when I got my first real six string, ye know the one I bought at the 5 & dime. Welcome aboard.
This mix certainly puts the Boom-Boom into my heart (woo hoo). Love Tk2 and the opening 4 on Side 2. Welcome to AOTM..
It's "Student Night" at Fridays Discotheque in Didsbury, circa 1985. Oh, the memories... oh, the children, won't somebody please think of the children...
