Comment:
As Brian Wilson said, "Let's go away for awhile..."Gee, when I went to burn a copy for my uncle, I realized I had 20 minutes of disk to spare
Feedback:
A quintessential, nicely romanticized snapshots of the times, not easy things to achieve. I'm jealous :)
absolutely love the bookends, love the beatles, al green, bob dylan, byrds, VU, neil young, yardbirds, beach boys... this is pretty great from top to bottom.
Can't go wrong with the dynamic Gene Clark & Byrds pick... But what's up with the Beach Boys track? Never seen that title before... Is it an unreleased rarity?
Sorry on the Beach Boys confusion, no I guess they never covered Miss Amanda Jones (it was my typo), but it would definitely work for them as a Stones cover. Thanks for the kind words...
are you sure they never covered it? i guess the track i downloaded is mislabeled by whoever uploaded it. sure fooled me, sounds enough like 'em.
nevermind! it looks as though alot of the songs in my beach boys folder are mistitled. whatever, this is still a great mix without that track.
not the usual pics by some of the usual suspects . . . confusion or not, I like . . .
Your mix looks lovely, as does the cover.
A beauty! I didn't know Ryan Adams was around in the 60s. That cat must be old! ;)
Yeah, when I heard that for the first time, I thought it was an unreleased Stones song, circa Between the Buttons
