Comment:
mix inspired by the latin countries as defined by Latin Europe & Latin America whose languages (Romance) derive from latin. Latin Europe would also include France but exclude Brittany (celtic), Alsace-Moselle and French Flanders (germanic). For the sake of this mix I have excluded France and concentrated on Spain and Italy, though there is an area in Italy where slovenia is the predominate language and an area in Slovenia where italian is the predominate language. Latin America is not, as most US citizens believe, any county below them but again defined by the language. Oddly latin America does not include territories where French is the defining language - i.e. Haiti or Quebec. Anyway, I'm sure by now you know this is not a lesson in entymology but a mix firmly rooted in `fun' and spiced with latin flavours and latin accents. In other words, if you're lookin' for authentic latin sounds this mix won't be for you. I've endeavoured to cover as diverse a musical platter as my collection would allow - from John Cooper Clarke's tale of a package holiday to Majorca to Henry Mancini's mexican rock'n'roll soundtrack for Orson Welles' A Touch Of Evil. Enjoy!

Feedback:
Right up my alley at the minute Dom, love the Jobim, Veloso, Quincy Jones amd Mendes picks.
this is so far up my alley it hurts. I love authentic Latin music, but when the Europeans, "Americans," Asians, Africans or anyone else gives this music a whirl, it brings an equal pleasure to my ears. especially when they've got a good orchestra behind them. this mix looks awesome.
Comment te Llama te llama ? which I am led to believe means what is the name of your Llama . . . . that aside, donde esta los cerveza?why do all english drunks think that they can speak Spanish?John Cooper Clark aside (one of my heroes), this looks like a damn sexy, and damn good mix . . . I don't want to be boring again, but if only this was on CD . . .
very excellent, i have a few of the tunes, but would love to get my hands on a cassette like this!
Yea, especially the Buddy Rich and Quincy Jones.
Thanks for the comment, as for me any mix with Sandie & Dusty works any time. What a dog that Sophie is eh!
This is sexy.
Very cool.
Cool and sexy. Your knowledge astounds me. This mix looks mighty fine, although the Danny La Rue inclusion has me shivering with fear!
íPicante! Nice collection.
Great to see Kirsty and Sergio on here.
This is most excellent.
Lots of great picks in this fine collection.
Cha-Cha-Choice picks, here.

I seem to be in the Mixxer's canoe on this one.., not a bad place to be either.
very nice. 5 stars from me!!
Damn this looks good. The mix ain't bad either. Six stars (5 for the mix and 1 for the cover star)
Woah man! I dont know all but at least all i know rocks on! Looks indeed interesting. Good job Mr. DOM1. (can be a 5 stars but i dont know all so i give you 4)
My lord this rules. I'm in complete awe and your taste is delicious. Incidentally I have an outfit almost exactly like your cover star -- paid a pretty penny for it too. If only I could've paraded it in front of Mongo or Tim Buckley.... if only I'd been alive back then.
Fantastic, especially as a companion to your African mix.
Marvellous and fascinating as usual, Dom.I was glancing at your "profile" in which you state "Only rules I have: IS NO RULES"; and yet...and yet, your prodigious output is clearly governed by rules. Admittedly, they're your rules. A commendable self-discipline is evident. You appear to subscribe to the "lower case" wherever possible school, whilst simultaneously using upper case for the names of artists in bracketed notes. Why on earth am I bothering you with this irrelevance, you may well be thinking? I know not. I think I'm having one of me turns this week.Nonetheless, I am unable to let it lie. I won't even start on the audio cassette thing. Your mixes are relentlessly excellent and, dare I say it, educational. I shall just have to get over myself and concentrate on the music. Now that would be something.it really would be something.
This looks wonderful!
