Comment:
Also was a road trip mix. The title is in reference to a house that we always pass on the highway. A house so dirty that it's able to grow cactus on its roof. I repeated a couple of tracks from my last country mix, but Jerry Jeff Walker's "Gettin' By" is so good I had to use it over again. Hearing Hank's "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" reminds me of that King of the Hill episode where Bobby Hill breaks up with Khan Jr. and plays this song.Feedback:
I love that Lefty Frizzell song. Great mix.
Looks really terrific to me. Love the Guy Clark song as well as Kenny, Glen, Gram, and Mr Wills.
I love this, down to the very last twang. There simply is not enough Merle Haggard or Marty Robbins around these parts. Cheers!
Oh man. This mix looks excellent.
Nice one! Hail Doug Sahm!!!
hey, I'd even get on that L.A. freeway, let alone past the cactus house, to listen to this road music.
Bob Wills is still the king!
