Comment:

You can make bubble and squeak out of practically anything, but the question is: is it still bubble and squeak if made from scratch, and not from the leftovers of Sunday roast? Either way, we agree that it should include at least potato, carrot and cabbage, served ideally with plenty of salt and pepper and brown sauce.

This looks profoundly great, as always. Your mixes have a very unique vibe, my friend, and it's always good to see a new one.

I see the potato and the carrot, but no sign of cabbage. Some belting stuff on here though. Now if I could just squeeze it onto a CD... Oh wait... I can. Ha!

Lovin' it but don't get The Pipettes? saw them this Summer & they have to be one of the most atrocious live acts I've ever seen!

I've always thought that bacon was in there too - otherwise I think you're right, whatever was used at the weekend is bound to end up in there somewhere. I should point out that I've always hated bubble & squeak (don't know why - maybe it's the frying-cabbage part) but I DO love the look of this mix! Absolutely love that Camera Obscura pick, and the BSP, Electrelane (Electrelane!) and monsieur Jarre. Serve this up with brown sauce, salt and pepper and I'll be quite happy :)

Looks like fun. Is that Tilly and the Wall tapping away?

This looks excellent. And as a coda, may I recommend 'I'm A Savage for Bacon and Cabbage' by Brendan Shine, seven minutes of a man who really loves his bubble and squeak.
