Comment:
My husband recently made me aware of Donovan Frankenreiter's music and I found I really like his style, which is very similar to that of Jack Johnson. In fact, two of the Donovan Frankenreiter songs include Jack Johnson on vocals. Most of the music on this mix are from the most recent albums of several of my favorite artists, such as: Tom Petty, Calexico, Guster, Nickle Creek and Ben Kweller. Colony, however, is a group I only recently found out about and I have taken to their album, "Siren" right away. They also fit really well into this mix, which has a free-flowing, devil-may-care, travelling companion feel to it.Feedback:
I saw Mr. Frankenreiter at a festival in Cornwall last summer, where he was supporting James Blunt. As you might imagine, he had no difficulty in stealing the show. All this and surfing too. This was my son Harry's first "concert". He was most enamoured of the Frankenreiter style. I do believe he might approve of this mix. Believe me that's some praise. For myself, I find it most agreeable. Thanks for reminding me of a pleasant time. "devil-may-care" indeed.
don't know Frankenreiter, but will now check him out!
