Comment:

The acid mix. Lots of hits, doncha know. Boy, it has been quite a few years since
I dropped acid. It would be fun to do again. I highly recommend it as a once
in a lifetime experience done on a once a year basis. That mother of nutrition, Adelle
Davis, was a big supporter of LSD-25, writing her experiences under a pseudonym. I think
the book was called Exploring Inner Space. An extremely rare book, I feel guilty
that I stole it from the library. Good thing I wasn't tripping at the time. Cary Grant
also had good things to say about it. Acid, not the book. Non-addictive, extremely difficult to get
hooked on, lots of vitamins are a good precursor and a beautiful girl, a beach or a forest
and lots of clouds also make nice accompaniment. Music is fun, too as long as you are able to
punch the proper buttons without getting hung up. The inspiration for this was the trailer for Martin Scorcese's the Departed, but the motivator to get it completed was Nomates and I extend kudos to him as well as sammyg for the Bobby Parker selection.
A couple of bonus cuts are inserted and I would like forgiveness for inclusion of the fabulous lip guitar of the Marty Cooper Clan. Those first four selections? They are true monsters and a great anchor. If anything, please listen to at least the first fifteen minutes. Then depending on how things go, take the other half. Or, don't. I am not a pusher. This mix was not cut with anything so the experience is pretty pure. This is available
as a 160kbps mp3 or a 96kbps WMA file. Knock Knock. Who's there? You are.

This mix is crashing around in my headphones right now -- well it is almost 4am.I was beginning to reach my lack of jonpoi mix stress threshold -- so this is most timely. Furthermore, it's well worth the "make the bastards wait for the good stuff!" stance. It's as though a much loved and greatly anticipated favourite TV show has returned for an "all new and exciting" season. I do believe, Jon, that you may have hit upon thst special formula -- you knew we wanted it but you'd be damned if you would release it until it was "ready". Well, this is indeed "ready". "Comfortably Numb" my arse! No siree, Bob! No Class A drugs required by me, I'm right here "dancing to a different fiddle"; and I'm not even Texan -- go figure...

Tremendous mix and good to see you back. Yes is always a good start to a trip and Santana is just fine for the speedy after=ride. (Although the last time I took a magic carpet ride I spent two hous talking to a plate of Lasagna .... circa 1984 I believe.)
