Comment:

The greatest of all English puddings, I first tasted sticky toffee pudding on a memorable rainy November day around nine years ago, at a woody pub in rural Oxfordshire. It followed steamed trout and new potatoes and was backed up by a fine ale of some name I can't remember. Later we walked in the botanical gardens, red and orange leaves loaded and dripping with silvery water, and blew thick cigarette smoke out the car windows on the drive back to Thame. I have since quit smoking but I'll always have sticky toffee pudding if it's available.

Mmm, sounds like a fine meal. Toffee pudding, steamed trout, and ale is almost as nice a mix as Captain Beefheart, Mazzy Star, and Betty Everett. This looks like damned fine drivin' music, ciggies in the car or no.

This looks like a great mix to reminisce about such a nice rainy November day and good eats.

Never had a toffee pudding, but I recently had a steak and ale pie which was as good as this mix looks!

Delicious. Dig the mix and the commentary. I close my eyes and can only imagine to be there.

I, too, seriously dig the mix and the commentary. Great, as always.

Love it all, the songs the ale, the eponymous dessert, the location everything except the trout, could never warm to food of the swimming kind.

Springy mix with a nice warm up and even better cooling period. I'll have mine with a bit of vanilla ice cream and a cup of Earl Grey.

Really beautiful stuff here - especially the Mazzy Star, Galaxie 500, Cat Power and Isobel Campbell. Perfect for your comments as far as I'm concerned. And God I love sticky toffee pudding. Anything stodgy and steamed and school dinnerish like that completely rocks my boat.

Very nice to close with that Cat Power song. I also like the Galaxie 500 and Spiritualized.

Yo, this is awesome... and I LOVE Sticky Toffee Pudding! My friends mom has an amazing recipe. Love the closing pairing on side one and the Smog and Cat Power cuts on the second side.
