Comment:
"The policeman isn't there to create disorder, the policeman is there to preserve disorder" - Chicago Mayor Richard Daley defending police misconduct during the 1968 riot.Maybe it's this nasty cold that's got me contemplating my mortality, but I've been revisiting my past via mix today. This compilation is more or less chronological. I won't bore you with the release info as most everything's from singles or EP's except for the Effigies track is from the Busted at Oz live LP, the Savage Beliefs track is from the Middle of America compilation and the Urge Overkill track is from a three song demo.

Feedback:
Wow.... a lot of lost gems here. Really like the Wazmo Nariz and Skafish.
Noisy & Nasty, brilliantly done.
This is why I visit this site...This is of my all time favorite entries...EVER!
Cool stuff! I only recognize a few artists. Didn't Skafish do a song called "Sign of the Cross" on the URGH! Music War album/video?
wow. i want this.
I'm downloading this immediately. Forget what I said about your other mix being MotW--THIS is it!!!
A collector's item this. Feel better, or better yet, worse. Yeah feel worse and keep mixing.
Wow. 2 mixes posted today, one I know every track on, one I know zilch. That one being this. Thanks for the DL. I shall enjoy this, maaaaannn.
Let this be our anthem as we take it to the streets!
Fabulous! This could be a Soul Jazz release. Thanks for the download... I'm sure I'll enjoy the lesson.
Ah, The Cunts -- masters of irony.
So looking forward to hearing this. Bring the noise!
This is way fucking cool. You've got some of my faves here (Raygun, Effigies, Big Black) and a few bands that I haven't even thought about in ages (Bonemen of Barumba and Strike Under?!?!). A great choice for MotW.
Well-deserved MOTW! This mix makes me proud...now for 1984 - !!
Congratulations Jim!
OMG, I love this! Chicago's punk/new wave scene doesn't get enough props.
Congrats on a well deserved nod for MotW! Awesome mix, and in fact the City that is Second to None deserves a closer look... Nice from front to back!
Seriously wow, and I'm very sorry I didn't notice it before. A real education in a scene I wasn't familiar with and a very much deserved MotW!
Bravo! Epicycle needs more love. Congrat's on MotW! (I'd have sworn I commented 'pon dis one.)
obscenely fantastic. i see that silver abuse track surfaces once again - i totally dig it.
Cool to see The Imports' "side one" show up on a mix. Next time you're feeling nostalgic, check out www.the-imports.com - Joe Strell
