Comment:

I've been meaning to do this for a long time, as the Raincoats are one of my dark-horse all-time favorite bands--completely indescribable, wholeheartedly original, palpably *human*. Their usual tag, "post-punk," does not begin to do them justice, and I'm still waiting for Ana da Silva to be acknowledged as one of modern rock's great songwriters. Really, I ask you AotMers, are there many songs greater than "Fairytale in the Supermarket"? Last tracks cut: "So Damn Early" and "Odyshape." Thanks to lo-fi for the reunion material.

I don't think there are any bands closer to my heart than the Raincoats. Great selections.

A wonderful collection of gems from a great band my friend. Funnily enough a track by them appears on my latest mix (which is almost complete) that doesn't appear here. I agree with your comments whole-heartedly.

Wonderful collection of tracks! I really love the Raincoats and think I may be very much inclined to agree re. Fairytale In The Supermarket - I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. Glad you included Lola; well done ovearll.
