An attempt to convice my sixteen year old sister that there's more to rock and roll than My Chemical Romance. Title track: "Yo Yo Bye Bye"

A noble endeavor (although I like some MCR songs), and a fruitful effort. If she doesn't respond to Of Montreal, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Unicorns, or the Thermals, she might be a goner. Although actually, I tried to play the Mountain Goats for a close friend of mine once, and she couldn't get past how lo-fi it was, claiming it didn't even qualify as real music, and his singing sucked. So even though I ate her soul for those remarks, it might be hard to provide alternative music to people who aren't used to it. But you're armed with such an astonishing arsenal (except maybe Slightly Stoopid - what's that all about?) that logically, I can't see how you'd fail. Good luck

I'm not a die-hard Slightly Stoopid fan, but I have a soft spot for the acoustic album. It's not nearly as sophomoric as the rest of their crap.
