Comment:

Christmas is a strange holiday. but with the world in such chaos lately, I think it's wonderful that at this special time of year, so many people can at least agree on a few basic things; like an old man with a sack of toys who goes down peoples' chimneys and a virgin who had a baby boy long ago. also, I like the bustle, the lights and especially the strange and dreamy music. my last Christmas mix was a few years back, so thought I'd add a few holiday records to my collection and throw together another. of course, I found way more music than I'd bargained (or budgeted) for... so now I've decided to do a Christmas trilogy. All songs on all three mixes are from vinyl found in the used bins. this first one focuses on the more secular aspects of the holiday; flying reindeer, snow, Santa Claus, families and toys. listen to side

Absolutely top-notch work, and after a weekend involving mulled wine and a Christmas market, this puts me in the mood even more - so thank you! Really like the Jose Feliciano inclusion in particular.

Well, I pretty much hate most Christmas themed mixes, but this looks alright... pretty ecclectic unlike most I've heard in my life.

Damn, I'm too late for the download. Looks suitably 'strange and dreamy' though!
