This Christmas mix includes a lot of my favorites plus new songs I heard this year. There were so many songs, it was difficult to narrow it down and some of the songs I knew I liked, I didn't have access to. Some highly recommended albums, which many of these songs have come from: Cyndi Lauper- "Merry Christmas...Have A Nice Life!", Billy Idol- "Happy Holidays", The Coats- "On Christmas Time", "James Horner's How The Grinch Stole Christmas Soundtrack", Squirrel Nut Zippers- "Christmas Caravan", Various Artists- "In The Spirit", "Now That's What I Call Christmas", "Ally McBeal: A Very Ally Christmas", "A Rock n' Roll Christmas II", "A Very Special Christmas I and II", Brian Setzer Orchestra- "Dig That Crazy Christmas", and others. I feel that this mix truly encompasses genres with some rock, acapella, classics, new twists on old favorites, and some that are modern day classics. It was a couple years ago that I first heard "I Want An Alien For Christmas" by Fountains of Wayne and now it is a favorite. Cyndi Lauper and Billy Idol doing Christmas songs?! What? It's true though and they are very fun songs. Cyndi's songs have an almost Cajun Christmas feel and Billy is upbeat on some of his and soulful on others. Happy Holidays!
