Brand New Christmas Song came to me suddenly in early December of this year, and was inspired by my gleeful anticipation of the coming of the Christmas season. Christmas in South Carolina was inspired by the dubious anticipation of a free trip to South Carolina offered to me just before Christmas of '04.
