The Place You Have Left is Rocking
Comment:
For a friend. Sappy bits are entirely intentional. Pardon the repeats...or don't.Title from the Czeslaw Milosz poem "Ode to a Bird."Feedback:
Can't go wrong with that closer. Nice to see you back on the boards!
great closing duo
The 8-13 stretch is lovely
A perfect blend of familiar and unfamiliar to me here Curtis. Have a great 2007 amigo, look forward to digesting this one.
June Tabor, Laura Nyro, Del McCoury, Bryan Ferry... this looks fantastic. but sadly, when I click to hear, the page can't be found. let me know if there's another way for me to get my ears on this. in any case, best wishes for the new year, Curtis.
Looks tres interesting - having the same problem with the link, however.
fine
got it, thanks. this one wasn't at all what I expected from a Curtis_Burns mix, which is exactly what I would expect from a clever mix-maker. enjoyed the June Tabor, Kiran Ahluwalia, Marshall Crenshaw and that Joni Mitchell song which I hadn't heard in years.
This is beautiful, Curtis. I'm looking forward to the listen. Happy new year to ya...
A wondeful mix. I know a lot of these even before listening ( a Curtis Burns Mix! ). Happy New Year, I look forward to more of your mixes in '07..
Looks outstanding! Looking forward to a listen..
Like Sammy - it's a surprise to see a Curtis mix with songs I recognize. Happy New Year, Se±or Burns.
I can't figure out what the repeats are... anyway, looks very nice indeed.
Jolly good show, sir.
Very entertaining. It reminds me of freshman honors english what with the poem & all. Love the 8-10 stretch especially... George Harrison and Laura Nyro should've conceived a child and named him Angel. And you should be sappy & repetitive more often.
Fantastic mix - great sappy bits, and an amazing intro.
Like the 10-12 stretch.
Nice Figgs selection. Repeats are always fine. Otherwise we wouldn't have Heavy Rotation.
