Comment:

Songs about love, weddings, marriage (and divorce). First Kevin got married and now another ex (one of the two who count) is engaged. I'll have to revise this for Tony, maybe add Prince "Head" and Jude "I Do" - please, please give me any other ideas or links to your similar mixes. "Ex" perspective songs are especially desired. sigh. Guess I"ll have to hold out for Jens Lekman now. Thanks!

Nice one! "Roy Orbison Knows (the Best Man's Song)" by John Wesley Harding might fit the bill, though admittedly the marriage of the ex is discussed only hypothetically here ("if you get married, I'll carry the ring"). Other marriage songs off the top of my head, though not from an ex's perspective, would include "Marriage" by Billy Bragg, "Hats Off to Marriage, Baby" by the Wrens, and "A Marriage Proposal" by Norfolk & Western.
