Comment:
My latest semi-quick "for the hell of it" mix. Thanks to SwankQueen for the Simply Saucer and Aceyalone tracks (as well as converting me to the Os Mutantes cause and inspiring me to reinspect the comp of theirs that I had tucked away), and to Mark P for the FLC track. Title--uncharacteristically--from a mildly absurdist conversation that my friend Jen and I had this very afternoon.Feedback:
Oooooh, I likes this, mister! Fucking killeropening stretch all the way to the mighty Flipper. Also dig the FLC->Lightning Bolt sequence, as well. So great, man!! Hope you're doing well.
As always, this looks great, Rob. I'm a little concerned that I might not make it past the opening two on this one because of the temptation of listening to them over and over again (in fact, I'm going to put these two on right now), but I'm sure I'd be missing out.
your for-the-hell-of-it mixes are better than most labored mixes, truth be told rob -- looks mouth-watering as usual.
Two Mixes that include Os Mutantes being posted within a couple of hours of each other -what kinda odds wouldya have got on that??
As for the rest: pretty damn fine (so what's new?)!

ANother killer Rob. love the Arctic Monkeys. Lounge Lizards, the whole 9-13 run and of course the illustious Gummy Sharks (btw, I need tracklists on the Gummy Sharks and Donut People discs you gave me.)
I like these "for-the-hell-of-it" mixes of yours. have a few Lounge Lizards LPs at home that need some listening to. but tell me, has SwankQueen begun the process of converting you to the Joe Cocker/Jennifer Warnes cause? please remind her that she'll get the other half of the money only when the job is complete. ;)
How do you garden at night? great mix!
Yes to Os Mutantes. Nice mix FTHOI.
a whole bunch of unknown stuff here, but I know you got good taste
Broader than Broadway
Slightly ass-kicking. I would play this one loud.
Batty, apocalyptic, & off the charts . . . I think I would fast forward through the Flipper, but otherwise it's the bomb!
Hey, you stole my favorite stuff again!!! (J/K) Well, I do love what I know of this, so good job.
Nice one Rob. I do like those quickies. (or even semi-quickies)
Wonderful. Unfamiliar with the Flipper track. Is that the original of the 'Tom Jones' chart smash?
Anything with Simply Saucer alongside Linval & the Allmans has my full attention. SwankQueen's had a lovely effect on your mixes too.
You threw me off me stride with that Fun Lovin' Criminals inclusion. Nicely done. All in all, this is quite the nabob of "for the hell of it" mixes. Listen, it's the sound of two hands clapping...
Semi-quickies? Where do I sign up?
Os Mutantes are new to me so I will have to investigate. Looks solid from here ol' chap. I have been getting re-acquainted with The Allman Bros Band. Thanks for this.

Sure. Why the hell not? Nothing out of order with this effort.
Wow Rob, this is fucking good. Tha 11 through 15 stretch is damn good.
