It seems like forever ago that I heard "Breathe Me," but Sia's album "Colour The Small One" didn't get its U.S. release until early 2006, and the track in its unremixed form isn't on any of my other mixes, so I suppose its destiny lies here.The Tortoise track is from the collection "A Lazarus Taxon," released in August.
Cat Power's "The Greatest" was the first album I bought in January of 2006, and it grew only richer and more amazing as the year went on. It got my vote for album of the year. The title track was my favorite song of 2006.
