Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 97
Comment:
The 21st Century Stack-o-Tracks Mix. I'm happy! I finally figured out what was wrong that kept my computer crashing as I would be 10% through a mix. It was a lot of crud. A lot of fuzz, hairs, smoke, crap behind the fan clogging up the heat sink. But that is all taken care of. I am back in action. This is my present to AOTM. Probably one of the best albums of the year, and absolutely guaranteed impossible to buy. And I don't get what the reasoning is to why it can't be easily available. But I am making it available. If you need pure unadulterated background music, this is it. If you wanna love the music you love even more, this is it. There is a reason this band won best instrumental of the year and there is a reason why they are nominated once again for best instrumental of the year. And this carries more than enough evidence for those reasons and others. The cover features a scene from a wonderful piece of celluloid fluff titled "What A Way To Go!" starring Shirley MacLaine and six other big hunks of stardom. Wayne Coyne doesn't say the name came from there, but did you ever see Beck slug him at a party? For you hardcore fans, new fans and non-but-soon-to-be fans, from a futon closet on the island of Kyushu, this is going out to you. Happy Happy Listening and thanks for being around. This is being presented in both 96kbps WMA stereo and 256kbps MP3 stereo.
Feedback:
The site seems to be in gradual decline for the moment so i am unable to sample your mix - i am grateful that you have offered us dial up users the ability to play it through windows media - a feature that your old mixes included. As usual I envy your dexterity with which ever graphics programme you employ. I'd love a lesson.
Thanks for visiting an oft-overlooked piece of the Flaming Lips' repetoire. As always, a great cover to boot!

I'm really looking forward to listening to this . . . . and like Dom says, 'i'd love a lesson' in artwork . . .
Much thanks! Good to hear your up and running. Nothing worse than dealing with technical difficulties...blech!

Can I join Dom & Gobi in class? Scorch me kissin' instruments what a mTlange!
Well, that's my Sunday afternoon listen taken care of. I shall report back after a listen. It's sprinkled with a bit of Jonpoi magic so I'm sure this will be a triumph...
Comin' up on 100, Jonpoi... and they keep getting tastier and tastier. Thanks.
Very nice, from the selection to the cover...
Flaming fantastic is this, mate!
Awesome, I love the Lips, and this is a real interesting way to hear them
Brilliant, where do you find this stuff?
Woven like an instrumental basket of fruity goodness, this is jonpoi's New Year's gift to us all. I do not ask "where"? I forego the nascent "how"? I merely thank the powers that be, and sit in contemplation and silent wonder, near the back of the Temple of Jonpoi. Thanks, Jon. I will light many metaphorical candles in your honour. Kyoukei.
Holy hell...I want this!!!
This does look amazing...
The proverbial Proverbial! Thank the gods for this one, jonpoi being one. Thank jonpoi.
I'm way behind, as I see that there have been a number of second chances posted since this, but wow-wee. when I played this at work, my boss (who normally ignores music altogether) inquired as to what we were listening to and had me send him the link to your mix. if I get a raise, remind me to send you a five note. this one bathed the office in red, gold and silver. thanks for sharing it, jonpoi.
