Comment:
Some late nite, early morning musings on life probably brought on from the last mix.Title comes from the opening line in the opening song which sets the mood for the entire hour.
Feedback:
Beautiful. Worth getting up for!
Wish I could make mixes like this. This is just SO good. That closer just caps it off.
A wondermix, a senses pleasing wondermix from start to finish.
Amazing. At least 7 tracks here would probaly feature in my All Time 100. Mix On George, you're on a roll...
This is, indeed, hot smoking beauty. And no, gnome, you do not make mixes like this; you make mixes like your own, which is plenty good for me. So glad AotM has room for both of you.
This is totally representative of why I listen to music George.
Very nice.
are you even capable of making a mix that isn't perfect? this is unbelievable -- stunning in every respect; from track one to track eighteen, this is on another level of fantastic...
Great stuff, I can really feel the mood of this mix.. too many good picks to name.
classic stuff . . . . popular for very good reason . . .
I *really* love your opening couplet and 15-16 combo (all four are among my favorite songs of all-time), as well as the Shins and Pavement tracks, and the super-fine RT, R.E.M., Lou Reed, PBS, and Mazzy Star tracks really push this one into greatness. Nice work.
D'oh! I'd forgotten that I last logged on as SwankExpress... that last comment is from *me,* not Ms. SwankQueen... sorry.
That's gotta be one of my favourite Richard Thompson songs! My favourite Shings! My favourite ... well, the point is gotten, I'm sure, as this is one smooth, brandy-n-coversatin' with-your-lover-into-the-wee-wee-hours-of-the-morning mix.
I love love love this.
Killer!
Dig your style, like your touch.
Beautiful. Absolutely love just about everything here.
Nice moody stuff.
'Famous Blue Raincoat' is so intense. I can't just listen to it casually as background music, I have to get completely lost in it every time. Love 15 through 18 too.
yeah this is killer, 1-3, 6, 9 and 14-16 are all personal favs. Highest marks, George.
Looks absolutely great, George!
Oh, lovely stuff. I love that Mazzy Star pick, and the M. Ward and Shins create a very nice vibe. Definitely good for that time of night. Or day.
I always love your mixes. Thank you for introducing me to so many amazing artists and songs.
