Comment:

For the hell of it. Mostly new (some unreleased) indie tracks and new-to-me tracks with a smattering of old material that's been floating around my head lately. Thanks to SwankQueen for tracks 8, 14 and 16 and thanks to plushpig for reminding me of how much I love that Posies cover by discussing the song on his latest mix (posted just hours before this one). Title from the first line of the disc's first track, courtesy of Mr. Ian Curtis (R.I.P.).

Looks aces to me, dude. Super-great opener and the R.E.M.->Grinderman stretch looks pretty great, as well. I'm not entirely sold on those Clap Your Hands kids but I haven't necessarily given them a fair shake. Oh, and the Urinals->The Posies to end it? Superb, mister.

Cool mix overall. Glad you could use the Deconstruction Bros.! Mmmmm, Peanut Butter Bacon, Elvis' fave sandwich!

Nice to see the Good, Bad & Queen offering here - I've really been liking what I've heard from it so far, though I've yet to get my mitts on it completely! Otherwise this is a typically top-drawer FTHOI mix - love the Posies closer, and I was just listening to Deerhoof this morning so it's great to see it too!

Any mix with a track from 'Murmur' on generally gets the thumbs up from me. Excellent GBQ, Posies, Deerhoof choices also. Have yet to hear anything by Grinderman, but I'm certainly intruiged...

Back at the college radio station, there was a small cabal of dj's who would have thought the Urinals/Flipper segue was the coolest thing in the f*ckin' universe. They were sort of the equivalent of the "bad influence" clique in high school. They were the ones who'd mock me for thinking you could play both Sonic Youth and Pink Floyd during the same show. Damn them!
