Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 78
Comment:
Reprise of the Shock 'n' Awe mix. I thought this one was lost forever. I found it in a long forgotten corner of the closet behind my wife's collection of saved Christmas wrapping. Recorded just before the invasion of Iraq, it leans towards Three Kings in attitude. The exchange between John Wayne and Walter Brennan from Red River during Silver Turkey is pretty nice. This is being presented in 96kbps WMA (I think) and MP3 Pro stereo (I know).
Feedback:
Ah ... Red River. So good. And same goes for the mix.
Hooray for Freddie and the Dreamers...and this mix! Terrific through and through!
Great throughout but I really love the closing 5. Nice to see the Residents on here too.
As usual, filled with fun twists, surprising turns and terrific straightaways. A terrific trip, indeed.
Some great stuff here assembled in an entertaining and clever manner.
Inspired selections by Bob Wills and Duke Ellington
Cool stuff. Reminds me I haven't listened to Graham Parker in a while.
How can she sleep with those planes dropping bombs all around?

what rob said -- especially the clash, talking heads, ramones & elvis costello, which peak their head above alot of other really great stuff here...
Damn I love that Graham Parker track. A lot...
well, love this a lot . . . the cover is amazingly sexy, but knowing that we cannot judge a book by it's cover . . . . (Clash and Romones - obviously), Dreadzone and Elvis (awesome) and Graham Parker (surprisingly for me) are all highlights . . . . have never been sure about Joey singing wonderful world tho (I still remember the dodgy video) . . .
Great looking stuff here. Always love to see Kirsty MacColl about...
this looks fabulous as usual jon - i've just discovred buffalo daughter.
