Comment:
This represents, of course, everything that didn't make it onto Pop Kulcher's Best Of 2006. As as compilation of runner-ups, it's, not surprisingly, somewhat uneven and just a bit off-kilter. Not always a bad thing, mind you. While the main mix had the highlights from my favorite albums of the year, this one's all over the place -- stand-out songs from albums that weren't that hot, decent tracks from samplers tucked inside music mags (primarily Paste and Uncut), and a handful of fine contributions from my friends Mike and Craig.

Nice selections, PK - this has been a good series, and I agree with you for the most part!
A nice collection of also rans but this was a pretty good year and if got around to doing something like your two mixes for the year then I'd definitely would take more than one disk. Most of these bands (and the other disk) would appear throughout the set.
