Comment:
Thelonious Sphere Monk -- alongside Duke Ellington as the greatest pianist-composer in all of jazz. I did a much briefer version of this about a year ago and decided to return to it with a vengeance, clocking more than a few hours weeding through my collection. I hope there are takers for the downloads, but they'll be available by request only, as my jazz mixes seem to have limited appeal.(Mix 4 is somewhat of a work in progress, as I know I have other tunes which reference Monk. I'll add to this this weekend if I can dig them up.)

Feedback:
Am familiar with many of the originals - have to 'fess I'm not keen on solo Monk in fact I'm not keen on much solo stuff which has nothing to do with your mix - I like mixes that cover the decades and this one does!
This looks incredible (and time consuming to compile!) Familiar alot of the material and alot of the artists but not most of these versions.
Looks great and very, very thorough. If you are indeed uploading this one, I'd love to have a link.
Phenomenal. I'd love a copy, as well. I've been meaning to do a Monk-doing-Monk mix for years now. Perhaps this will give me the impetus to follow through...
Very cool.
Nice work if you can get it. Absolutely wonderful.
Humph, as the comments below attest, we see you've been busy putting together an ambitious, four in one retrospective, Edward. Excellent picks all around. I happen to dig Andy Summers' guitar interpretations of Monk better than anything he ever did with The Police. Let's call this comment done.
