Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 99
Comment:
A brand new mix. The Final Production. Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance comes to an end. This is volume 99, however, despite popular opinion, there are now 100 volumes of Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance. Ahhh, how could it be? Did someone forget the rare Christmas edition? Anyway, sad to say but www.jonpoi.org will cease to exist this coming weekend. I am doing what I can until then to get as many mixes posted on the site so anyone can get their last chance at grabbing some tunes which should become even more rare on February 11, 2007. Plans are for mixes to continue under a different format towards a different purpose, nonetheless I will miss Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance. Thanks to all, absolutely all, who have commented and listened to this series. Never hesitate to ask for copies, for they will be delivered. And that's all, folks. This final Jonpoi production is presented in 128kbps WMA and 256kbps MP3 stereo. Stereo is important for this mix. Have a good trip. Stay tuned for upcoming releases from the new Foo Tone Studio.
Feedback:
Great series, Jon, and a great closer. Please try not to drop off the face of the planet again...
Goodbye "Tales..." hello "Foo Tone!" Out with the best and in with the even better!
All the good things come to an end, I guess. I'll have to take the offer and grab a few from jonpoi.org. Cheers.
Wow, I can't believe this is the end. Thank you so much for all of these Jon, they've been terrific. This looks up to your usual high standard. Of Montreal, Camera Obscura, Yukari, Badalamenti to name but a few. Adios to 'Tales'....
Say it ain't so Jon. It has indeed been a pleasure, looking forward the next incarnation. A fitting farewell with Hunter S seeing you off.
I salute you Jon & the magnificence of your series - I've never been able to fully listen to the mixes but I've enjoyed looking through your back cat - marvelling at your skills with graphics which has influenced me to experiment with my own - I see a new series is in the offing so I'll look forward instead of back!
What a way to bring the curtain down my friend. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Jonpoi,
I am learning MUCH from the TP2ndC. I don't think that not routinely seeing your website will make me happy (the tears are already welling)

Now is the winter of our mix content, made glorious summer by this ton of work. Ouch! May I say, Jon, this has been a truly wonderful body of creations. The legend will echo round the halls of the future. This "finale" is most fitting and, with sad reflection, most gratefully received. It's wonderful. All hail wwww.jonpoi.org; and lean, smiling, toward the next adventure. The King is dead, long live the King! All clichTs supplied by "sameoldsameold.com".Thank you , Jon. We love you.
I need to get back to...the blend of styles is dizzying...and I want to take an actual run at this before commenting. So, as for now, let me say..."Wow, this looks REALLY interesting!"
With Foo Tone Studio on the wing there's no need to tell 'em about the bats! Smoke 'em if ya' go 'em jonpoi! I'll hoist my tankard at Happy Hour!
excellent...great choices of song, great cover art...you're a master.
a fitting finale to an impressive catalog of work. can't wait to see what you've got to tantalize us next!!!
I have greatly enjoyed being impressed with your track listings, flabbergasted by the actual music (when I've been able to hear it), and unabashedly in awe of your cover art. A fine series, indeed. Congratulations and godspeed for your return in a new guise.
