Comment:

Disc 3 in "The Beat," a series of alt. pop mixes covering ca. 1981-84. This particular disc's angle (to the degree it has one) is "New Wave Goes Mainstream and Vice Versa."

The series was inspired by the 1982 K-Tel album "The Beat" (my expanded take on that comp is disc 1 in the series), and excludes the ridiculous crap bloating the many commercial multi-disc new wave comps. The period 1979-1981 is covered in my series "Rock 80" (inspired by the 1980 K-Tel comp of the same name).
