Comment:

I had played around with various ways of condensing the Beatles "White Album" to one album for a while, initially back when I did mixes on cassette; at that time I was going to use one side of a 100 min. cassette for 50 mins. CDs of course give you more time, but this still runs less than an hour. "Silence" indicates a gap of silence to allow for a "secret" track.

Ah yes, it is the age old challenge. Check out
The Abridged White Album at Dead Man's web site.

Despite liking some tracks from the White Album more than others, I would never, ever want to delete any of them to form a new record. The whole flawed sprawl of the thing is what makes me love it so much.

Hmmmm... I did this accidently. Thought I was getting a great price on the White Album on CD at a used store and when I got home I realized I only had disc 2. Not the edit I would have chosen. This is nicely done, the 11-18 stretch looks excellent.
