Comment:
I tend to recycle bands a little bit on this one, esp. Calexico. I wanted to capture all of the weird camera angles and lighting of film noir, and Calexico fits perfectly. I really lke pairing jazz and blues songs. Jazz seems like the studied build up and blues the cathartic release.Feedback:
i love making non-existent film scores and soundtracks! nice work. and you can never have too much calexico.
Cool Mix and awesome movie genre. I posted a Film Noir-esque mix myself a couple years back. You might dig it.
This is great. I love making imaginary film noir soundtracks as well (see, e.g., Songs From The Film II and II. The Calexico vibe is just right.
Film noir soundtracks require Portishead. Preferably something from their S/T record.
Nice!
