Comment:

This was made for a mix exchange of greatest non-pop music on a message board I visit. Mine turned out to more about favorites than the greatest, though. First of two discs.

this is a great, totally daring mix. i love Glass's "Koyaanisqatsi" (which part did you put in?) and Debussy -- real thrilled to see *three* Debussy pieces on here! comparing this to "Pink Antifreeze", actually, wasn't Debussy one of the classical composers those funny prog-rockers had it most in mind to emulate? great to see non-Western classical music on a classical-music mix, too.

Thanks! It's the first part of Koyaanisqatsi, the self-titled one. I'd have thought of Wagner or Mozart before Debussy as a prog influence -- it seems to me to be more conventionally rhythmic and melodious than with his own new sort of tonality.

By the way, if there's anything here you don't have, you can get this at http://www.sendspace.com/file/kd56b6 at the moment.
