Comment:

This was made for a mix exchange of greatest non-pop music on a message board I visit. Mine turned out to more about favorites than the greatest, though. Second of two discs.

greatest non-pop = jazz and prog (including Kraut-) rock? well, works for me. i love this kind of music. if you can guarantee that it is in fact non-pop, then we're all connoisseurs, and so so much the better, non?

We were left to decide what "non-pop" means for ourselves making these -- I decided on any sort that needs some grounding in that sort of music to get most of the enjoyment out of it. Some people let folk in, or anything without usual pop-song structure, like jazz or electronica; with mine, such as folk, swing, and techno are out, and bebop, more complex electronica, and prog are okay. If you'd like to hear this, it's at http://www.sendspace.com/file/t8irrj at the moment.

Thanks for the send, downloading right now. I love Einstuerzende Neubauten and I'm interested in checking more artists along the lines. And I've also been meaning to get into more jazz.
