Comment:
I'm enjoying a lot of super-sweet indie pop at the moment, but I'm also in a pensive mood (as usual), so the resulting collision of both moods is as shown. Works for me :) I wish I was better at making files into mp3s to share with people, because aside from some of the popular indie acts on here (Modest Mouse, Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Wilco) there's a lot of great music on here that's probably not familiar to most people (except those who worship the same music blogs as I clearly do), but then, all you have to do is get into the indie rock music blog thing to find 2/3 of the songs ;) Thanks to those brilliant, tireless folk, by the way, who have provided me with such musical bliss. I don't know what I'd do without this here Internet and the amazing, generous efforts of everyone inside itFeedback:
There's a lot I am unfamiliar with on this mix. But the stuff I am familiar with makes me curious about the stuff I'm not. This is just the sort of a mix I love to get, old favorites mixed in with new discoveries.
Not much I know here (though I do like Charlotte H., Irene, Lucky Soul and a few others), but I'm sure I could find most of them on mp3 blogs after a search on the Hype Machine -- which is like the new Napster.
whoa, the innocence mission! i always get a huge kick out of seeing them on AOTM. i dunno all of the tracks here, but it looks pretty sweet!
Tons of great picks here Mike. Andrew Bird, and Beauty Shop are big faves of mine. Nice work. p.s Calypso should be posted in the next few days I can never resist a request/challenge ;)
What I've heard here I really like
