Comment:
Making a glam-rock mix is hardly original, but that wasn't exactly my goal. I just found that I'd accumulated a bunch of splashy old rock and roll songs lately from the '70s and '80s, and I wanted a cohesive way to use them, so this is a cocktail of glam pop, goofy punk (Dickies, Toy Dolls, Undertones), '80s pop rock of the same vein (Transivision Vamp, Rockpile, Cheap Trick, etc.), and decidedly newer bands (King Prawn, Forces of Evil, Chixdiggit, Teen Idols, Exploding Hearts, Star Spangles) who are carrying on this legacy in one way or another. Overall, just a lot of fun, trashy rock anthems. They don't all fit the requirements per se, but in spirit definitely.Feedback:
Ooh la la!
Trashy rock anthems are good- everyone could use more of them.
Good stuff....I'm digging it. Particularly the Dickies song that I'd never listened to before.
This looks like it could get me out of bed in the afternoon --- i mean morning. Fun, fun, fun!!
great fun
i would like to hug this one
