Comment:

Admittedly, I'm not quite satisfied with this mix. I'd have liked to have spent more time on it, but this whole trip was planned haphazardly and I needed to get this done before hand. Anyway, originally I had planned on making 3 CDs. One for the trip up, one for driving at night, and then one for the return voyage, but I'm a mongrel. So here it is, my first mix, the soundtrack to an 18 hour drive from San Diego to Portland on the desolate abyss otherwise known as I-5. Any suggestions for last minute additions or subtractions would be greatly appreciated.

Looks great. That Pavement track is made for long drives.

no need for three, this looks like an all-purpose mix really. made my own impromptu visit to Portland last weekend, it's such a lovely city. if you're just visiting and find yourself in the mood for a good breakfast, try the Bijou Cafe on 3rd Ave downtown. great food and ambiance. welcome to the site!

Thank you both for the feed back, and thank you for the recomendation, Tornado. There certainly is no shortage of corner cafes in Portland, but for the most part, that's a wonderful thing.
