Comment:

What Kurt Cobain would put on his Ipod first if he were still alive. Song selections were taken from actual lists of his favorite bands he wrote in his diaries. I know I'm missing a few bands, but these were bands that appeared most frequently in his diary.

Nice. You're missing Pixies and Melvins though.

I forgot to type in Pixies for track #7 J.P.M. I'm not a big fan of the Melvins. Perhaps I heard the wrong album.

I suppose that would be his playlist in 1992. I would think his taste in music would progress... no disrespect to this mix though. Its really, really good. So many favourites.

Which Melvins album did you hear? Their early stuff is very different from what they're doing now.

Don't know the album titles, but a punk rock chick I dated in the late 90's was way into them. I know she played their newer stuff so anything circa late 90's.

Can anyone suggest a good album to start with the Melvins?

Nicely done, but I'll bet he'd have some Daniel Johnston on there too.

Houdini and Stoner Witch are their most well-known and popular.

Other than that, Ozma, Gluey Porch Treatments, Bullhead, and Lysol are mandatory.

Looks good. I'm sure Daniel Johnson and Shonen Knife would also make the cut. He was always wearing their t-shirts.

I'd echo J.P.M. If need be, I'd be happy to send you a sample via download.

Nice mix but you're missing The Pastels too, I recall reading recently that they were one of his fave bands.
