Comment:
33 female vocals from the cinema of the 1960s. To the best of my knowledge all tracks were scourced from the original soundtracks. I may be incorrect regarding 2 of the german contributions as I do not understand German. 99% of the soundtrack composers listed were responsible for the song's music. My last mix was Bollywood, so here I have ignored the genre. For those wishing to make your own, I suspect the majority of this is downloadable.

As I was gazing over this mix, I came to a realization. I never get tired of hearing Cole Porter or Booker T.

amazing. music from lots of favorite films here: Rosemary's Baby, Boccacio '70, Jules and Jim (sadly, that incredible version of the Cole Porter song by Marilyn Monroe is the only thing worth seeing in Let's Make Love). along w/ much I've never heard of here (but can assume is terrific due to your previous track record), you've got songs from movies I'm now reminded I've not yet seen and should, ie. Viva Maria (Louis Malle is one of my favorites), The Pawnbroker, The Appointment (also love Ms. Dunaway) and The Fox, which is still not on DVD in the US. I remember reading once that Sandy Dennis (another favorite) and Anne Heywood play lovers in the film, who are happily living together in the woods until a man (Keir Dullea) steals Anne away, after which the Sandy Dennis character is killed when a tree falls between her legs.
ok, so Faye Dunaway wasn't in The Appointment (that was The Arrangement, also 1969), but Anouk AimTe, Lotte Lenya and Omar Sharif are, so I guess I need to see that one too.
What I know, I like. What I don't know, I suspect I'd like. Coolness abounds, Dom.
