Comment:
A team of stout, hard-handed men climb aboard a ship, bragging of their skill and prowess. They set sail, kissing their wives and promising a plentiful yield. The air in their faces, they sing the songs of their forefathers as they work, occasionally stopping to tell a dirty story or limerick. The water flows beneath them for hours, and they bring forth nets filled with flapping, glittering fish that shine in the sun. To celebrate, they drink, toasting to each other as the sun goes down. The fish are forgotten about as the sailors dock and wander into the nearest pub. Suddenly gloomy from the drink, they exchange songs and stories of hardship that they have all memorized by now. One, refusing to fall into this gloom, stumbles drunkenly out to the docks, declaring to the river that he loves it. He climbs aboard his ship and slides into a hammock, singing a lullaby to himself as he falls asleep. As he dozes aboard a ship of rotting fish, the stars twinkle above him.Feedback:
As someone who has spent a good deal of my time working on boats and under the sea, I definitely dig this.
This looks great. A perfect soundtrack for the rapidly (I hope) boating season. Would love to hear it.
