Comment:

This is the second part of a "twinning" of mix-CDs for a friend of mine, whom I usually make CDs for every 2 months or so in the hope of turning him on to a few things. I went travelling for most of last year, so since returning I agreed to play catch-up and make two discs for him, putting more effort into the enterprise than I ever had before.
I started working on both of them at the end of December, selecting what tracks would go into what disc, working out the momentum, mood, etc. and going through over half a dozen tracklisting variations before coming to the perfect, final order. Some feel born to be played back to back, despite the slightly ecclectic range, e.g. Moondog -> M. Ward -> Hawley -> Dandy.
Again, some of the tracks have been edited in one way or another (usually clipping out silence, but in some cases I have played God and altered it wherever I felt appropriate) for the sake of the overall flow and to make it fit snugly onto an 80 minute CD.
The entire thing is available for download, hopefully someone out there might give it a listen and enjoy it.
Thanks to those who commented on the last one!

loved the guy's voice on the opening track, and the Beirut->M. Ward piece is very nice, as is the Stina Nordenstam and the three moody tunes you put at the end. your mixes are divine. keep 'em coming.
